Puppet Server Configuration

Can anyone explain the use of puppet server, and how to install and configure in production servers. (if possible share any required link).

You may want to checkout the documentation for general use of puppet and installation on rhel. Also Puppet Labs Training resp. the Learning VM might be for you.

I boils down to central configuration management. You are able to control the configuration of all your connected servers, from one central location. Simplifies a lot of mundane administration tasks.

Also, check this Red Hat discussion area for previous discussions on puppet, including puppet on satellite 6. Just search for "puppet" in the discussion area.

Agree with all the other comments. Puppet is included in Satellite as a Configuration Management Tool.
