drag and drop interface to bond - does not scroll to the network

Latest response

Hi,

I have a couple of Dell R900s that I am trying to get setup in a RHEV cluster.

This is my first production cluster and I've run into a strange one. I am trying to bond two network interfaces for the mgmt network, but these boxes have loads of network interfaces and I am trying to drag and drop eth0 quite far down the list to the network with the first interface in it... but when I grab the interface and drag it, the window does not scroll down, and I can't drop it on the right network. As I want to keep one interface on each board for redundancy, I can't remove any to reduce the list...

I am using rhevm 3.4... any ideas? I'm using firefox - maybe another browser?

Firefox is our recommended browser for RHEV-M so you're using the correct one. Which version of Firefox is it? Also, this sounds like maybe a resolution issue. Have you tried increasing the resolution of your screen or using the CTRL - (minus) keys to decrease the font size. That may help show all the elements on the screen.

If it's still an issue after trying that, please open a support case and reference this discussion.

I am using the latest firefox on mac 39.0 and pc 39.0

It is a window that pops up when configure host networks, can't be resized and does not scroll when you have grabbed and object in it and are dragging it. The windows just gets smaller if I increase browser resolution... guess I will open a ticket then, thanks

When in "Setup Host Network" for your particular hypervisor, locate the interface that you wish to bond, hover over it and right-click.

This will display two options :-
Bond ethx with ->
Add ethx to Bond ->

The first option is used to create a new Bond and the second is used to add NICs to existing Bonds. (available Bonds and NICs appear when you hover over the option)
Sounds like want the first option in this particular instance.

Cheers
