Hi Abhishek,

I believe you're looking for rpcbind (formerly portmapper) and rpc-statd (AKA nfs-lock).

Hi Radek,I tried with rpcbind and rpc-statd service restart however still nlockmgr service is showing running on "rpcbind -p" command.Looking for the way the nlockmgr service does not show in "rpcbind -p" command.

We are trying to stop nfs-lock service in all NFS client servers, And that is why we need your help to know the procedure here.

Hi Abhishek,

I've done some searching, and nlockmgr seems to be independent of the two services. Moreover, I couldn't find a way to prevent it from running. If you still want to use NFS but you don't want the nlockmgr service to be available, I suggest blocking it on the firewall level until a better solution is found.

Radek
