Hello,

I cannot speak French (I am sorry) but I am running number of VMware VMs with RHEL 7.1 on ESXi 5.5 (VMware vSphere Web client is used).

We do not use VMware Workstation though!

I configured vmxnet3 adapter type (VM version 10) and everything seems to be fine so far.

Regards,

Dusan

This is snippet from the Kickstart because there are too many scripts relying on legacy network naming standard (eth for Ethernet):

bootloader --location mbr --append="crashkernel=auto rhgb quiet net.ifnames=0 biosdevname=0"
auth --enableshadow --passalgo=sha512

Christophe,

Please give details of the problem you are experiencing. What problem are you experiencing and what messages are output? Has this problem started happening on an existing RHEL 7.1 installation or is this a new installation?

Hello and thank you for your answers.

I solved my problem nin NIC recognized. I read on another forum how to do, but I do remember where :(
E1000 put in the .vmx (ethernet0.virtualDev = "e1000")
It must rename the eno16777736 card eth0 with the link command ... make a down etc ..

ip link set down eno16777736
ip link set eno16777736 name eth0
ip link set ip eth0

Thank you all
