/dev/disk no longer exist after patch

Hi guys,
I updated my RHEL5 server and /dev/disk directory no longer exist. Is there a way to recreate this directory ?

What was the update you applied? Do you know if it included an update to the udev package? The following should tell you (and also let us know the version you have installed):

rpm -q udev --last

Can I ask what you are using the /dev/disk path for? there may be alternatives for what you are doing (but it's obviously not good that it has gone away!)

Thanks for the reply. It was a udev issue. It was not started. Once udev was started, all /dev/ directories where recreated.
