Security updates w/o a new support subscription?

Hi:

We are soon retiring some RHEL servers in our environment. We are right now at the point where we need to renew our support subscription for RHEL through CDW. If we don't renew the license/support subscription, can we still do yum security updates until server retirement?

Scott,

In short, no. The subscription is what provides you access to the updates.

If you only need security updates, a 'Self Support' subscription may meet your needs. It is definitely worth discussing with your account manager.
