Does RHEL 7.1 support MST via display port w/ NVIDIA driver?

Latest response

I'm considering upgrading my monitors to 24" Dell 4k (3840x2160@60Hz) displays. My understanding is that my video card (GTX 770) supports MST and can drive both monitors at their native resolution and refresh rate via the display port link. My question is does RHEL 7.1 support MST via display port?

I assume you are using the NVIDIA binary driver for this card? If so, this question may be better answered by NVIDIA. I found some discussion on the topic here.. hopefully it is relevant/helpful.

Thanks.. I actually looked at that link before posting but it wasn't very helpful. It seems like maybe I'm not fully understanding what MST is and how it works. My initial thought was that you can daisy chain monitors on a display port 1.2 connection at get the fully native solution of the monitor on each. It seems like maybe that's not how it works.

At this point I think I'm going to wait for HDMI 2.0.
