Yum Update Failes with ...filelists.sqlite.bz2 failure to read/open file in RHEL 6.2
I am trying to update the software on a new RHEL 6.2 install and the "Yum update" command fails with this error:
file:///mnt/repo/Server/repodata/df8d250b7f2d421ab60da57bd88af0814f19354f5fd3b2807bddd687114078f4-filelists.sqlite.bz2: [Errno 14] Could not open/read file:///mnt/repo/Server/repodata/df8d250b7f2d421ab60da57bd88af0814f19354f5fd3b2807bddd687114078f4-filelists.sqlite.bz2
Trying other mirror.
Error: failure: repodata/df8d250b7f2d421ab60da57bd88af0814f19354f5fd3b2807bddd687114078f4-filelists.sqlite.bz2 from dvd: [Errno 256] No more mirrors to try.
Anybody have a solution to this?

Hi Kenneth,
I suspect file:///mnt/repo/Server is defined as the baseurl for a repo in Yum configuration, and the path is no longer available. Please check /etc/yum.repos.d/.repo for any repos that you don't use anymore, and delete the broken .repo file(s). On the other hand, if you *do use /mnt/repo/Server as your source of updates, please make sure the directory is available in the system, and run "yum clean all" to make sure Yum downloads the right filelists.sqlite.bz2 file (the hash in the path is volatile).
Also, do you use Red Hat Network or Subscription Manager to gain access to updates for your system? RHEL 6.2 is no longer supported, so it would be a good idea to upgrade to 6.6. This is easy with RHN or SM.
