after update Linux(Maipo) added to boot menu - which one to start?

Latest response

I've installed updates RHEL 7 offered
And now in bootloader there are two RHEL 7 (see attached screenshot).
I guess they have different kernel.
Which one should I start? What is the difference between them?

The top entry is the patched kernel (but the older one is still available if you need it). RHEL7 (and RHEL6) by default will keep 2 previous kernel versions available whenever new kernel patches are installed.

The kernel version number "3.10.0-123.8.1.el7.x86_64" is newer than "3.10.0-123.el7.x86_64"
