IBM ServerRaid Manager

Latest response

I installed Redhat Enterprise Linux 6.5 on an IBM System x3650 Box. It has a RAID card within it. Our server sysadmin uses mostly windows machines and as such have no knowledge about allow Redhat to monitor the raid status from the ServerRaid Manager box (windows) My question is, how do I install the necessary software (the agent software) on Redhat box so that the Windows box can monitor it's RAID status? Where do I get the downloads. Calling IBM directly, I seem to get the run-around.

Derrick - If I recall correctly, IBM ServeRAID Manager was previously a standalone product available for Microsoft Windows Server systems but IBM later began moving its functionality into the IBM Director product. If you want to install an IBM ServeRAID Manager agent on the RHEL server so that it can be monitored from the IBM Director server installed on Microsoft Windows Server, I suggest reviewing the instructions available at [1]. If you are trying to achieve a different configuration, I can only recommend trying to contact IBM support again.
