Summary
The National Industrial Security Program Operating Manual (NISPOM) (also called DoD 5220.22-M), as a component of the National Industrial Security Program (NISP), establishes a series of procedures and requirements for all government contractors with regard to classified information.
The Red Hat Safety and Security team established the Red Hat Industrial Security Program to safeguard and protect classified information and assets entrusted to perform work on contracts, programs, bids, or research and development efforts while Red Hat works for the United States Government and private industries.
The scope of the Industrial Security Program applies to all Red Hat associates and contractors in the United States who require access to classified information and applies to all executive branch departments and agencies. The National Industrial Security Program Operating Manual version 32CFR Part 117 defines the requirements, restrictions, and safeguards that industry must follow.
