FedRAMP - Federal Risk and Authorization Management Program

Summary

The Federal Risk and Authorization Management Program (FedRAMP) is a U.S. government program that sets security standards for cloud services used by federal agencies. FedRAMP is an acquisition requirement for any software, platform, or infrastructure as a service (for example, cloud-based) product used by the U.S. Federal government or its contractors, wherein Federal data or metadata is stored, transmitted, or processed.

FedRAMP is only applicable to the products listed below. Services considered FedRAMP Authorized are currently only available via the AWS Government Cloud (that is, US-Gov-East/US-Gov-West).

  • Red Hat OpenShift on AWS (ROSA) with hosted control planes
  • Red Hat OpenShift on AWS (ROSA) classic architecture
  • Red Hat Lightspeed
