How Amazon Web Services (AWS) Customers Can Access the Red Hat Customer Portal

Updated -

Customers running an on-demand instance of Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL) may qualify for free access to the Red Hat knowledgebase. This access is read-only and includes solutions, articles, videos, as well as the ability to view comments and ratings on the content.

Accessing from AWS

To gain access to the Red Hat Knowledgebase, you must first be authenticated with AWS and have your entitlement verified. After this, you will be provided with a protected, one-time use URL to access the Red Hat Customer Portal.

If you are not logged in and find a protected article, you will be shown a screen that prompts you to log in or to follow a link to a cloud partner to get authorization.
Select "Using a Public Cloud" to be redirected to a page that lists cloud provider partners.
Choose AWS from the list of providers.
You will be shown an AWS-specific page with instructions and a link to the AWS support dashboard.
From the AWS dashboard, you can get a link to access the Red Hat knowledge base.

Session Details

Once you are authorized, you will have access to all subscription-only Red Hat Knowledgebase content for 24 hours within the same browser session. If your session times out or you lose access, you will need to return to the AWS console to re-establish access.
