No, your control node (Ansible / Ansible Controller) must run on the operating system as described in the Documentation. As of now Controller can only run on RHEL servers. IBM operating system will only be supported as managed nodes.

Does Red Hat directly support IBM managed nodes?

Red Hat does not directly provide full support on IBM managed nodes. In a case where the initial issue was related to Ansible (Execution of a Job, Ansible Certified Content) and further investigation is needed on the managed node, the customer will have to file a separate ticket directly with IBM. Red Hat Support will be able to create a TSANet once the customer provides the IBM case number. Red Hat and IBM support teams will then work in collaboration on resolving the issue.

Where can I find the certified content for IBM operating systems?

The certified content for IBM is available on Automation Hub

Does Red Hat supports Ansible content provided by IBM on Automation Hub?

Red Hat does not support content that are maintained by external partners such as IBM. Red Hat will help to troubleshoot an issue related to Automation Hub, Controller or Ansible Core, but does not support the content provided and maintained by external partners. To get support on IBM content, the customer need to file a ticket with IBM support. Red Hat Support will be able to create a TSANet once the customer provides the IBM case number. Red Hat and IBM support teams will then work in collaboration on resolving the issue.
