Ansible Automation Platform vs Legacy Tower
When Ansible Tower started being packaged as Ansible Automation Platform, it was renamed from Ansible Tower to Ansible controller. In any documentation where controller is referenced, it is equivalent to Ansible Tower. You can find which versions of controller and hub are packaged with each platform release here:
