Red Hat OpenShift Container Platform release 4.1.7 is now available with
updates to packages and images that fix several bugs.

Description

Red Hat OpenShift Container Platform is Red Hat's cloud computing
Kubernetes application platform solution designed for on-premise or private
cloud deployments.

This advisory contains the RPM packages for Red Hat OpenShift Container Platform 4.1.7. See the following advisory for the container images for this release:

This update fixes the following bugs:

• In `Cincinnati` instances, duplicate edges were allowed via `Quay` labels, resulting in duplicate updates available in the cluster. Now, pre-existing edges are skipped when processing edge labels and no more duplicate edges are present in the cluster. (BZ#1683491)
• The `CatalogSourceConfig` and `OperatorSource` Custom Resource Definitions (CRD) were missing the `openapi` definition fields. As a result, `oc explain operatorsource` and `oc explain catalogsourceconfig` had empty descriptions. Now, the CRDs have been updated with the `spec.validation.openAVIC3Schema.description` and are described correctly with the `oc explain` command. (BZ#1708503)

All OpenShift Container Platform 4.1 users are advised to upgrade to these
updated packages and images.

Solution

Before applying this update, ensure all previously released errata
relevant to your system have been applied.
