Red Hat OpenShift Container Platform release 3.6.173.0.164 is now available with updates to packages and images that fix several bugs and add enhancements.

Description

Red Hat OpenShift Container Platform is Red Hat's cloud computing
Kubernetes application platform solution designed for on-premise or private
cloud deployments.

This advisory contains the RPM packages for Red Hat OpenShift Container
Platform 3.6.173.0.164. See the following advisory for the container images for this release:

This update fixes the following bugs:

• When routers used `slowloris` protection in the absence of a `timeout http-keep-alive` variable, the router would set a `timeout http-request` variable. This would result in degraded performance and faulty networking. Now, `slowloris` protection with `HAProxy` routers explicitly set `timeout http-keep-alive` to a default of 300 seconds if not already configured by the administrator. As a result, the performance is maintained for long-running http connections while using `slowloris` DDoS protection. (BZ#1391585)
• Previously, `atomic-openshift-node` service did not check for symlinks in `/var/lib/origin`. ConfigMaps, Secrets, DownwardAPI and Projected volumes with subpath were not cleaned up properly and pods were stuck in Terminating state indefinitely. Now, the symlinks are resolved and pods are cleaned up properly. (BZ#1696207)

All OpenShift Container Platform 3.6 users are advised to upgrade to these
updated packages and images.
