A new kmod-redhat-lpfc package is now available for Red Hat Enterprise Linux 7.

Description

The kmod-redhat-lpfc package contains the Emulex LightPulse Fibre Channel
SCSI driver kernel module that fixes the regression in device initialisation
observed with the following adapters:
19a2:0704 Emulex Corporation OneConnect OCe10100/OCe10102 Series 10 GbE CNA

The kernel module delivered by this erratum has been made available as
part of the Red Hat Driver Update Program, which provides updated kernel
modules that add support for selected devices in advance of the next Red
Hat Enterprise Linux minor update release. We strongly recommend that
these kernel modules be only used when it is necessary to enable the
specific hardware mentioned in this erratum. Partners and customers
should continue to use the driver that is shipped in the latest Red Hat
Enterprise Linux kernel for all other devices that require this driver.

Solution

Before applying this update, make sure all previously released errata
relevant to your system have been applied.

In order to avoid using the kernel module present in the RHEL 7.6
GA installation image (and use the one provided in the Driver Disk
instead) during installation, an additional kernel parameter
"rd.driver.blacklist=lpfc" can be passed to the installer kernel
parameters.
