Updated Satellite 6.4 packages that fix several bugs are now available for Red Hat Satellite.

Description

Red Hat Satellite is a system management solution that allows organizations to configure and maintain their systems without the necessity to provide public Internet access to their servers or other client systems. It performs provisioning and configuration management of predefined standard operating environments.

This update fixes the following bugs:

• Previously, the katello-certs-check command for Capsule returned FOREMAN_PROXY in its output instead of CAPSULE. This is now fixed. (BZ#1627280)
• After the change to a vertical navigation menu, the Red Hat Access menu was no longer displayed. This is now fixed. (BZ#1638263)
• Using the Satellite web UI, logging on to the Red Hat Access plug-in to list and open support cases was failing. This is now fixed. (BZ#1638435)
• If IPv6 was disabled, the foreman-proxy service failed to start. This is now fixed. (BZ#1643183)
• While performing a yum upgrade in Red Hat Enterprise Linux 7.6, Satellite update failed because of a dependency problem with the following package: ant-junit-1.9.2-9.el7.noarch. This is now fixed. (BZ#1661040)
• Creating virtual machines on a RHV system based on a template was failing with a 404 error. This is now fixed. (BZ#1661044)
• Upgrading from Satellite 6.3.4 to 6.4.0 was failing with the error: "Upgrade Step: clear_checksum_type...". This is now fixed. (BZ#1661277)
• The hammer host list --thin command was removed in Red Hat Satellite 6.3, but has been returned. This is now fixed. (BZ#1661289)
• The checksum type configuration of the yum distributor was failing and did not fall back to the scratchpad. This is now fixed. (BZ#1661290)
• When the memory limit of the dynflow executor reached its memory threshold, the termination procedure was getting stuck and waiting infinitely for some events to occur. This is now fixed. (BZ#1661291)
• Running a `sync_task` while the tasks service were restarting caused the passenger process to hang. This is now fixed. (BZ#1661292)
• When applying a filter on the content host page, only one page of results was returned. This is now fixed. (BZ#1661293)
• After an upgrade, an error appeared on the Subscription page. This is now fixed. (BZ#1661294)
• The memory recycling function of the Dynflow executor was hanging and causing the error: undefined method `dynflow_logger'. This is now fixed. (BZ#1665461)
• The Dynflow executor termination was hanging. This is now fixed. (BZ#1665470)
• Occasionally, the ListenOnCandlepinEvents task was not starting after a shutdown of the executor. This is now fixed. (BZ#1666893)

Users of Red Hat Satellite are advised to upgrade to these updated packages, which fix these bugs.

Solution

Before applying this update, make sure all previously released errata relevant to your system have been applied.

• BZ - 1661292 - Running a `sync_task` while the tasks service gets restarted might lead to passenger process hanging forever
