Updated packages that resolve various issues are now available for Red Hat
OpenStack Platform 8.0 director for RHEL 7.

Description

Red Hat OpenStack Platform director provides the facilities for deploying
and monitoring a private or public infrastructure-as-a-service (IaaS) cloud
based on Red Hat OpenStack Platform.

Solution

Before applying this update, ensure all previously released errata relevant to your system have been applied.

Red Hat OpenStack Platform 8 runs on Red Hat Enterprise Linux 7.2.

The Red Hat OpenStack Platform 8 Release Notes contain the following:

• An explanation of the way in which the provided components interact to form a working cloud computing environment.
  
• Technology Previews, Recommended Practices, and Known Issues.
  
• The channels required for Red Hat OpenStack Platform 8, including which channels need to be enabled and disabled.

Fixes

• BZ - 1320950 - os-cloud-config hardcodes SSL ports
• BZ - 1325702 - Undercloud upgrade fails with ['dib-run-parts', '/usr/libexec/os-refresh-config/configure.d']' returned non-zero exit status 6
• BZ - 1326644 - When undercloud is deployed with SSL, openstack undercloud upgrade removes the SSL VIP IP addresses
• BZ - 1327255 - No valid interfaces found during introspection
• BZ - 1327275 - Rerunning introspection on the same set of nodes might be broken
• BZ - 1328585 - Introspection errors with 'The following required parameters are missing: ['local_gb']'. Passes on readding nodes and rerunning introspection.
• BZ - 1337206 - ipxe freeze during HTTP download in virtual and hardware env
• BZ - 1339676 - OSP-Director: Fail to register nodes with ironic , openstack-ironic-conductor was not functioning due to missing package python-dracclient.
