Topic
An updated etcd package that fixes several bugs and adds various enhancements is
now available for Red Hat Enterprise Linux 7 Extras.
Description
The etcd package provides a highly-available key value store for shared
configuration.
The etcd package has been upgraded to upstream version 2.0.13, which provides a
number of bug fixes and enhancements over the previous version. (BZ#1232142)
- In the later versions of etcd starting with 2.0.11, if you have the
ETCD_LISTEN_CLIENT_URLS option set in the /etc/etcd/etcd.conf file, you are also
required to set the ETCD_ADVERTISE_CLIENT_URLS option. Consequently, upgrading
to that version or later resulted in the etcd service failing to start because
it was missing that requirement. After this update, if
ETCD_ADVERTISE_CLIENT_URLS is not set, etcd sets it to the value of
ETCD_LISTEN_CLIENT_URLS. However, it is recommended to set
ETCD_ADVERTISE_CLIENT_URLS manually and not use this fail-safe. (BZ#1236706)
Users of etcd are advised to upgrade to this updated package, which fixes these
bugs and adds these enhancements.
