Topic

Updated foreman, rubygem-hammer_cli_import, and ruby193-rubygem-foreman_bootdisk
packages that fix several bugs are now available for Red Hat Satellite 6.

Description

Red Hat Satellite is a system management solution that allows organizations to
configure and maintain their systems without necessity to provide public
Internet access to their servers or other client systems. It also performs
provisioning and configuration management of predefined standard operating
environments.

This update fixes the following bugs:

  • Previously, any attempt to delete other than a bootdisk template, using the

"hammer template delete" command, resulted in an Internal Server Error. This
update corrects the relevant check in the foreman bootdisk code and the deleting
of configuration templates now works as expected. (BZ#1096333)

  • The Hammer command-line utility did not propagate the "--synchronize" and

"--wait" options to content view sub-commands. This update corrects the Hammer
source code and ensures that all options are now propagated to content view
sub-commands as expected. (BZ#1138696)

  • Certain string translations to Spanish were omitted from the previous release

of Satellite 6. Consequently, the users with a locale set to "es-ES" could not
see content in Satellite 6 user interface (UI) in their selected language. With
this update, the missing translations have been added to Satellite and users can
now read the content in Satellite 6 UI in Spanish as expected. (BZ#1138825)

Users of Red Hat Satellite 6 are advised to upgrade to these updated packages,
which fix these bugs. The katello-service must be restarted for this update to
take effect.
