Updated system-config-lvm packages that fix one bug are now available for Red
Hat Enterprise Linux 5.

Description

The system-config-lvm packages contain a utility for configuring logical volumes
(LVs) using a graphical user interface.

• Due to a limitation in the system-config-lvm application, it terminated

unexpectedly when striped mirrored devices were found. With this update,
system-config-lvm no longer crashes and users can fully interact with striped
mirrored devices. However, such devices may not always render properly in the
application. It is recommended to use the command line interface tools to
interact with striped mirrored devices. (BZ#875148)

Users of system-config-lvm are advised to upgrade to these updated packages,
which fix this bug.

Solution

Before applying this update, make sure all previously-released errata
relevant to your system have been applied.
