RHBA-2010:0265 - Bug Fix Advisory
Synopsis
autofs bug fix update
Type/Severity
Bug Fix Advisory
Red Hat Insights patch analysis
Identify and remediate systems affected by this advisory.
Topic
An updated autofs package that fixes numerous bugs is now available.
Description
The autofs utility controls the operation of the automount daemon. The
automount daemon automatically mounts file systems when you use them, and
unmounts them when they are not busy.
This updated autofs package contains multiple bug fixes and space precludes
documenting these changes in this advisory.
For details concerning every one of these changes, see the autofs chapter
in the Red Hat Enterprise Linux 5.5 Technical Notes:
http://www.redhat.com/docs/en-US/Red_Hat_Enterprise_Linux/5.5/html/Technica l_Notes/autofs.html
All autofs users should install this updated package, which addresses these
issues.
Solution
Before applying this update, make sure all previously-released errata
relevant to your system have been applied.
This update is available via the Red Hat Network. Details on how to
use the Red Hat Network to apply this update are available at
http://kbase.redhat.com/faq/docs/DOC-11259
