Red Hat Insights patch analysis
Identify and remediate systems affected by this advisory.
Topic
An updated mc package that fixes various bugs is now available.
Description
Midnight Commander is a visual shell much like a file manager. It is a text
mode application but also includes mouse support. Aside from standard
file-management tasks, Midnight Commander can connect to FTP servers, view
the contents of tar and zip archives, and look inside RPMs for specific
files.
Fixes included in this update include:
- not being able to change to a sub-directory containing the underscore
character.
- viewer not remembering the last search string entered.
Users of Midnight Commander are advised to upgrade to this updated package,
which resolves these issues.
Solution
Before applying this update, make sure that all previously-released
errata relevant to your system have been applied.
