How to convert RHEV LVM image to QCOW2

Latest response

Greetings,
I'm looking for a way to convert an existing RHEVM disk image to a QCOW2 format. Can anyone confirm if the following would be a reasonable way to do that, or even better, show me how to do it more quickly or with fewer steps?

TIA,
Kermit Short

I think (I do not know) that your easiest bet would be to attach an NFS export domain. There are a few folks on here that will likely be able to answer this definitively, but I offer the following in the mean time ;-)

3.1.2.2.3. Attaching an Export Storage Domain

I had researched a while back how to figure out where the LVM mount actually is (from the postgres database) and figured a simple dd would create the LVM VM into a file of some sort. Allowing you to use the tool to convert the disk image to any format you want (using qemu-img)

I see that my post is missing the URL I meant to post. I may have forgotten it, or it may have been filtered. I'll try again:
