What exception will occur if udevadm settle is not used ?
Following Red Hat suggestion, after disk partition admin will use command:
$ udevadm settle
I really don't know how useful it is, what will be the consequences if the administrator forgets this step? I usually don't use that command and the instructions on other sites don't mention it either, but am I lucky that it doesn't cause an error?
