Help updating to curl 8.5.0

RHEL 8.9 curl 7.61.1 environment. need assistance with updating to curl 8.5.0. This is a manual installation as it is an off-network / air-gapped server. I copied over the RPM files with no luck, as I am getting dependencies issues. Next, I tried installing from the tar.gz as well using the ./configure but after the install curl -V shows the same old version.

any assistance is appreciated. TIA.
