RHEL8.x - issue with nmcli con reload

Hi Teams,
As described in rhel documentation it is possible to change the legacy network file under /etc/sysconfig/network-scripts/ifcfg-
Unfortunately when I changed it and do a nmcli con reload or nmcli con load nothing happens.
Please let me know if is a know issue or something else?
As anyone an Idea?
