  • Chrony not show configured ntp server

    Posted on

    Hi,
I have configured ntp server in RHEL8 using chronyd. as follows. my server ip is 192.168.1.20 and hostname is ns1.airport.lk.
    pool 0.asia.pool.ntp.org iburst
    pool 1.asia.pool.ntp.org iburst
    pool 2.asia.pool.ntp.org iburst
    pool 3.asia.pool.ntp.org iburst

    allow 0.0.0.0/0

Then I have configure ntp client on another rhel8 server by following configuring chrony.conf using following line

    pool 192.168.1.20 iburst

when i check using chronyc sources -v from the client, it shows ns2.airport.lk. ( i have another server named ns2.airport.lk, but it is not act as ntp server)

any reason for that result or is there any error in my configuration?

    Please help

    Thank You
    Dinusha
