  • Provisioning Persistent Storage on VMware UPI

    Posted on

Hi guys, running OCP 4.4.9 on VMware UPI (ESXi 6.5 U2). I'm quite confused around provisioning persistent storage on VMware i.e. VMDK backed storage. From the guide here is states

    • 'Prerequisites: Storage must exist in the underlying infrastructure before it can be mounted as a volume in OpenShift Container Platform.'

So does this mean I need our VMWare admin to create a VMDK firstly or can OCP do this dynamically?
