Error setting up JBossWS Runtime in jboss-eap-6.0

Latest response

I'm getting the following error setting up the JBossWS Runtime in eclipse for jboss-eap6.0.

"Error occurred while loading JBossWS Command. Select the correct JBoss Server folder."

I'm selecting Version 3.0 and the Home Folder I'm using is C:\Program Files\EAP-6.0.0.GA\jboss-eap-6.0.

Please advise on what I'm missing.

Thanks!

Hello David,

Please see the JBoss SOAP Web Services User Guide [1] in which refer chapter 5 "JBoss Web Services and the development environment". It describes how to set up JBoss WS Runtime(EAP 5) in Red Hat JBoss Developer Studio 7.0, you can do the same for Eclipse.

Additionally, it would be great if you use Red Hat JBoss Developer Studio for your development purpose because it is supported by Red Hat. And you can always welcome to open a support case if you face any issue with JBDS.

Abhijeet -- I have recently run across the very same issue with EAP 6 development as well. Link 1 provided only refers to using EAP 5.

Please make sure you have a server runtime configured in your environment before you try to use the JBossWS runtime to do anything.

Hi Mustafa -- I do have my EAP 6.3 runtime installed in JBDS. Please refer to support case 01256832.

Did anyone find the solution to this. I get the "Error occurred while loading JBossWS Command. Select the correct JBoss Server folder." error with EAP-6.3.0 and Jboss Developer Studio Version: 8.1.0.Beta1

Chris -- Verify that you have not removed the wsconsume.sh file in your bin directory. Refer to KB https://access.redhat.com/solutions/1255743. I had a support ticket which resolved this issue.

Any one has solved the problem. I have wsconsume.sh and wsconsume.bat in my bin folder. I setup the server runtime but when i try to add a JBossWS Runtime i get the same error "Error occurred while loading JBossWS Command. Select the correct JBoss Server folder"

Hi i already have the JBossWS preferences set, but stilll I get "The JBoss WS Runtime Location is not set. Please set the location on the JBoss WS preferences page". please help
