How to reduce space from snapshot or templates

Let take example here:

When we have created <template/snapshot> from VM having 200GB of Disk(100 GB OS + 100 GB data).

Once <template/snapshot> is been created.

While Creating VM from the <template/snapshot> , When new VM is created from <template/snapshot> will Disk acts as COW(delta)copy on write? or till use the full clone.
