Satellite upgrade

Hi,

I have life cycle environment (Dev,Test,Stage,Prod) with Content view publist and promoted accordingly. We have monthly path cycle with every week Dev, Test...
During upgrades Satellite in the middle of month (CV is at Test LC) we loose the CV promotion cycle, any body know how to preserve the promotion so we have consistent updates/patches in all hosts in all environment

PS : Normally I wait to finish monthly cycle and patch the Satellite Server.
