Adding Additional Compute Nodes hangs inconsistently (workaround does not fit)

Hello,

Following the guided exercise https://role.rhu.redhat.com/rol-rhu/rhz/rhls/course/cl210-8.0/ch09s02 I found out the process never ends. I followed the indications in the note and it does not fit, no errors in /var/log/cloud-init.log and no zero size file. I tried rebooting the new node and it is still UPDATE_IN_PROGRESS and the "openstack overcloud deploy" command never ends.
