RedHat 7 on AWS

Recently, when undertaking a Red Hat 7 based project in AWS, I noticed that, unlike with Red Hat 6, there are only HVM instances available in the Marketplace. Is lack of PV AMIs simply a reflection of the pending deprecation of PV within AWS or is there an incompatibility between PV-GRUB and RHEL 7?
