won't hwdata be updated anymore?

Latest response

I was checking some RHEL 5.11 servers, and I noticed that pci.ids file is almost 2 years outdated (last version released by PCI ID Project is dated from 2016-02-27).
According to RPM, hwdata-0.213.30-1.el5.noarch is the one providing the pci.ids file.
If I'm not wrong, the last time hwdata was updated was on 2014-08-13.
I would like to know: won't hwdata be updated anymore?

Responses

According to Michal Minar: I'm sorry to tell you that we no longer plan to update hwdata package for RHEL 5. It counts as a hardware enablement and according to our life-cycle docs [1] these aren't available for RHEL releases in an Extended Life Phase.
