How to troubleshoot Packet loss for Passthru interface in KVM VM
Hello Team,
I would like to know how we troubleshoot if VM using passthrough interface whether Packet loss is happening in VM or REDHAT OS or physical port . once we create passthru interface we dont see IP link for that interface. If anyone know please let me know the procedure to troubleshooting commands to check the Passthru ineterface in REDHAT OS.

If you're using PCI passthru, then treat the NIC as if it's plugged into the VM.
Troubleshoot packet loss in the regular way with ethtool -S ethX.
libvirt will disconnect a passthru device from the host's bus and connect it to the VM's bus, so it's expected that you won't see the NIC in the ip link of the host once the NIC is passed through.
