packstack --all-in-one not generating keystone_admin file

Latest response

Hi Community,
I am trying to deploy openstack 7.0 eval edition. Issue is, the system is not able to generate keystonerc_admin file however, it says that it generated one towards the end of installing components. I am not finding anything under /root or /testdir(root user's home directory).

Additional information after running command packstack --allinone

  • Time synchronization installation was skipped. Please note that unsynchronized time on server instances might be problem for some OpenStack components.
  • File /testdir/keystonerc_admin has been created on OpenStack client host . To use the command line tools you need to source the file.
  • Copy of keystonerc_admin file has been created for non-root user in /root.
  • To access the OpenStack Dashboard browse to http://192.169.2.151/dashboard .
Please, find your login credentials stored in the keystonerc_admin in your home directory.

Thanks,
Vijay

Hello

Have you go this working yet? If I remember correctly that script prints a log of its actions when they are completed.

See also Where does packstack log?

I think I reproduced this, I installed using --allinone and the script had two errors but still printed:
File /root/keystonerc_admin has been created on OpenStack client host 1.2.3.4
yet the file was nowhere to be found.

I'll keep digging.
