  • deploy fails from CF in RHEV-M undefined method get_timezones

    Posted on

    hey,

I am continuing my test of CloudForms with RHEV-M. We currently use CloudForms in production with VMware.

Everything is going pretty damn good, but I have an issue that is preventing me from allowing users to test.

When a normal user provisions and selects a template on the RHEV-M provider, as soon as you hit next, you get the

    undefined method `get_timezones' for # [vm_infra/pre_prov]

    error.

I am suspecting that what is happening is that the pro_prov is trying to get the timezone from a customisation script... but as RHEV doesn't have separate customization files, it can't get it... was wondering if RHEV had somewhere to put these scripts, or how do I get around this?

I can't pull this out of the dialogs as then VMware provisioning will start to fail.. or so I suspect, may try to change it this weekend when I can do it withong anyone noticing if I break it...

If anyone has any experience with running dual providers like this I would very much like to get in touch about your experience or at least figure out how to get past this block.

    THanks
