Red Hat Process Automation Manager 7 Supported Configurations

Updated -

Every Red Hat Process Automation Manager® release is tested and supported on a variety of market-leading operating systems, Java™ Virtual Machines (JVMs), web browsers and database combinations. Red Hat provides both production and development support for supported and tested configurations to your subscription agreement in both physical and virtual environments.[1]

Red Hat Process Automation Manager 7.13 Supported Configurations

Supported Configurations include application containers and the JVM version families listed in the Supported Configurations table below with the corresponding Operating Systems on which those JVMs are supported. Red Hat will provide both production and development support for these supported configurations (according to your corresponding subscription agreement) in both physical and virtual environments as long as your support issue is within the context of applications running with Red Hat Process Automation Manager.

Java Virtual Machine Version
OpenJDK [7] 8, 11
Oracle JDK 8, 11
IBM JDK [3] 8.0.5.11

The following application servers are supported for Red Hat Process Automation Manager 7.13:

Application Containers Version
JBoss EAP [9] 7.4.(5+), 7.4.(10+) since RHPAM 7.13.3*
JBoss Web Server [4] 5.6.(1+)
Apache Tomcat [4] 9.0.(50+)
IBM WebSphere Application Server [4] 9.0.x
Oracle WebLogic Server [4] 12.2.x

(*) since Red Hat Process Automation Manager 7.13.3 release, the minimal version of JBoss EAP certified is 7.4.10. Running on different minor versions of JBoss EAP may cause the product to malfunction.

Support for IBM WebSphere Application Server, Oracle WebLogic Server, Red Hat JBoss Web Server, and Apache Tomcat is now in the maintenance phase. These platforms will continue to be supported with the following limitations:

  • No new certifications or software functionality will be released.
  • Only qualified security patches that have a critical impact and mission-critical bug fix patches will be released.

In the future, Red Hat might direct customers to migrate to new platforms and product components that are compatible with Red Hat’s hybrid cloud strategy.

Red Hat Process Automation Manager 7.13 Tested Configurations

A full range of platform tests have been performed on the following tested configurations.

Operating System Chip Architecture Java Virtual Machine(s)
Red Hat Enterprise Linux 7 (deprecated since RHPAM 7.12)

x86_64 OpenJDK 8, 11
Oracle JDK 8, 11
IBM JDK 8
Microsoft Windows Server 2016 x86_64 Oracle JDK 8

Red Hat provides both production and development support for the tested configurations in the same major version family at or above the tested version according to your subscription agreement. Earlier versions of a tested configuration in the same major version family are supported on a commercially reasonable basis.
