resolv.conf option rotate not working

Issue

  • Why does the rotate option in resolv.conf not distribute name resolution queries across nameservers?

  • The DNS queries are NOT rotating among the /etc/resolv.conf nameservers. Queries are only going to the first nameserver line, even though we specified the rotate option in /etc/resolv.conf.
