A syncrepl slave LDAP server doesn't sync with the master if the sync interval is more then 35 minutes on RHEL5

Solution Verified - Updated -

Issue

  • An LDAP server doesn't sync a replicated environment if a sync interval is set as 1 hour

  • There should be no client access (eg: ldapsearch, or any ldap operation) to the slave LDAP server in this interval.

  • In syncrepl replication (type=refreshOnly), the time of "00:00:35:47" or  more cannot  be set to "interval".

Environment

  • Red Hat Enterprise Linux 5 Update 5
  • Architecture: x86
  • Kernel Version: 2.6.18-194.el5
  • Related Package Version: openldap-2.3.43-12.el5
