CIDR in allowed_address_pairs fails

Solution Verified - Updated -

Issue

  • After changing the firewall_driver to openvswitch in ovs_neutron_plugin.ini, the below error throw when restarting the neutron-openvswitch-agent

2017-08-30 19:38:10.853 233917 ERROR neutron.plugins.ml2.drivers.openvswitch.agent.ovs_neutron_agent ValueError: IPAddress() does not support netmasks or subnet prefixes! See documentation for details.

  • Some instances failed to spawn with timeouts initializing the network interfaces. Apparently it fails when you have ports with a netmask defined in the allowed_address_pair.

Environment

  • Red Hat OpenStack Platform Version 10.0
