What does the following pacemaker message mean?

  • For Rhel 6 and 7, visible in /var/log/cluster/corosync.log or /var/log/messages:

  • For Rhel 8 and 9, visible in /var/log/pacemaker/pacemaker.log or /var/log/messages:

    May 26 11:23:47 node42 pacemaker-controld  [1671] (throttle_check_thresholds)   notice: High CPU load detected: 89.370000
    

IMPORTANT NOTICE:
This is NOT related to a similar message (throttle_check_thresholds) notice: High CIB load detected, please notice the difference between CIB and CPU elements in the message. Additionally, the CIB load should be under 1 whereas the CPU load will have a much bigger value. Ensure you are reading the correct article which matches your use case.
