Red Hat Data Grid 7 Supported Configurations
Every Red Hat Data Grid (RHDG) release is tested and supported on Red Hat OpenShift, as well as a variety of market-leading operating systems, Java™ Virtual Machines (JVMs), and database combinations.
If you are looking for Red Hat Data Grid 8 there is a separate page here.
Red Hat Data Grid for OpenShift
This section lists support details for the current version of Red Hat Data Grid for OpenShift. Previous versions of the Data Grid for OpenShift image are deprecated.
Support for Data Grid on OpenShift is defined in this knowledge article: Support of Red Hat Middleware products and components on Red Hat OpenShift. Please also reference the Red Hat OpenShift Container Platform Life Cycle Policy for details about the life cycle of each OpenShift release version.
Red Hat supports Data Grid on the following versions of OpenShift Container Platform. However, you should always use the most recently available version of Red Hat OpenShift to take advantage of the latest features, capabilities, and security improvements.
Data Grid for OpenShift Component | OpenShift Container Platform Version |
---|---|
Data Grid 7.3 Image for OpenShift | 3.11, and 4.4, 4.5 |
If running images in other containers see this article
Supported Configurations
Red Hat provides both production and development support for supported configurations according to your subscription agreement in both physical and virtual environments. In order to be running in a supported configuration, JDG must be running in one of the following JVM versions and on one of the operating systems supported by that JVM. Red Hat relies on the testing and certification process of the underlying JVM for platform compatibility.1 Red Hat limits support of OpenJDK to Red Hat Enterprise Linux.
Tested Configurations
Tested configurations are a defined set of validated and recommended operating systems, chip architectures, JVM, and database combinations. These represent the most common combinations that JBoss Enterprise Middleware customers are using.
Red Hat has performed the full range of platform tests on the following tested configurations.

Red Hat expects that customers will remain on a supported environment. In the event that a JVM, operating system, database, etc., or its version is no longer supported by its vendor, Red Hat may be limited in its ability to provide support and may require you to reproduce the issue in a supported environment for continued assistance. ↩︎
