Issue

  • カーネルをアップグレードすると、Qlogic がサポートする SAN デバイスにつながらなくなります。

  • アップグレードしたカーネルで起動すると、次のメッセージが表示されます。

    WARNING:No module qla2xxx_conf found for kernel $KERNEL_VERSION, continuing anyway. 

  Removed the Driver and then reinstalled and got the following message.   
WARNING:No module qla2xxx_conf found for kernel $KERNEL_VERSION, aborting.

  • システムを元通りに SAN デバイスを表示できるようにするために、古いカーネルで再起動し、ドライバーのパッケージを再インストールしました。

  • /var/log/messages:qla2xxx には追加で次のエラーが出ました : Unknown parameter `ql2xfailover'

Environment

  • Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL) 4
  • Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL) 5
  • QLogic HBA
    • アップグレード時にサードパーティの qla2xxx ドライバーがインストールされました。
    • アップグレード後に新しいカーネルに対してサードパーティの qla2xxx ドライバーが (適切に) インストールされませんでした。
