RHEL 6 fails to boot on a system with an Nvidia NVS 300 graphics card
Issue
We just received some machine with NVS 300 graphic cards and RHEL 6.2 cannot be installed on them. An error message is observed:
[ 2.230133] [drm:drm_edid_block_valid] *ERROR* EDID checksum is invalid, remainder is 128
followed by a Raw EDID hex dump of EDID data.
Environment
- Red Hat Enterprise Linux 6 prior to 6.3
- Nvidia NVS 300 graphics card
