kudzu does not make ifcfg-ethX.bak file
Issue
- After cloning a VM with VMWare, kudzu does not make the
ifcfg-ethX.bakfile. - Running kudzu after hardware changes have been made does not result in
/etc/sysconfig/network-scripts/ifcfg-ethX.bakbeing created for new devices.
Environment
- Red Hat Enterprise Linux 5
- Red Hat Enterprise Linux 4
- Changing the system such that
/etc/sysconfig/hwconfand actual configuration differ.
