LV fails to deactivate with: "Logical volume MyVG/MyLV contains a filesystem in use"
Issue
- Cannot deactivate a Logical Volume(LV). File system is unmounted but still getting file system in use error message:
lvchange -an /dev/mapper/MyVG-MyLV
Logical volume MyVG/MyLV contains a filesystem in use.
Environment
- Red Hat Enterprise Linux 6
- LVM
